In store Layby Completion Discount SMS Promotion

  • When a customer completes their in store jewellery layby, a text message is automatically sent to the mobile number we hold on record when the final payment is made against the jewellery layby. The text offers the customer 10% off their next in store jewellery purchase. Promotional discounts received via the text are valid for jewellery items purchased in store only and excludes watches, coins, sale items and any other offer. The discount is not valid for items purchased online. The maximum discount that can be given is £1,000. The discount is valid for 1 month from the date of receipt of text message.

1. The Promoter

    The promoter is: Ramsdens Financial Limited (“Ramsdens”) of Unit 16 Falcon Court, Preston Farm Industrial Estate, Stockton, TS18 3TU.

    2. The competition

      2.1 The title of the competition is ‘Win a Rolex Milgauss pre-owned Watch ref 116400 with Ramsdens and raise funds for GNAAS’.

      2.2 Ramsdens is a corporate partner of The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) (charity number: 1092204) and funds raised over and above the retail price of the item from this competition will be donated to GNAAS.

      2.3 How the competition will work:

      (a) Entrants will:

      (i) purchase a ticket for £10 (excluding postal entries which are free).

      (ii) answer one competition question and provide the answer either by post, online or in Ramsdens’ branches (excluding our Whitby branch).

      (b) Correct answers will be added to a computer-generated spinning wheel that will randomly select a winner.

      (c) The winner will win a pre-owned Rolex Milgauss Watch ref 116400 with a retail price £7,499.00.

      3. How to enter

      3.1 The competition will run from 9am on 1st June 2026 (the "Opening Date") to 5pm on 19th July 2026 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.

      3.2 All competition entries must be received by Ramsdens at the address set out at condition 1 by no later than 5pm on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.

      3.3 To enter the competition:

      (a) head to competition page on Ramsdens’ website at www.ramsdensjewellery.co.uk/competition. You will need to answer a competition question, select the number of tickets you wish to purchase (£10 per ticket with a maximum of 5 tickets per person), add to basket/buy now and pay for your ticket(s) by the Closing Date.

      (b) head to a Ramsdens’ branch (excluding our Whitby branch) and ask to enter our competition to win the Rolex Milgauss. You will complete an entry form, answer the competition question and pay £10 per ticket (maximum of 5 tickets per person). You can enter in branch up to 5pm on the Closing Date.

      (c) post your answer (maximum of 5 tickets per person) to the competition question (at your own cost) by first class post to: GNAAS Competition, Ramsdens Financial Limited, Unit 16 Falcon Court, Preston Farm Industrial Estate, Stockton, TS18 3TS. Entries must be received at the address stated by 5pm on the Closing Date. Please include your full name and address, county of residence, email address and contact telephone number on your entry. There is no cost to enter the competition by post.

      3.4 Ramsdens will not accept:

      (a) responsibility for competition entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or

      (b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.

      3.5 By submitting a competition entry and purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

      3.8 Entrants who provide a correct answer to the competition question will have their name added to a computer-generated spinning wheel, where a winner will be chosen at random. Entrants’ names can be added to the spinning wheel a maximum of five times (being the maximum numbers of tickets one person can purchase).

      4. Eligibility

      4.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over, except:

      (a) employees of Ramsdens or GNAAS or its holding or subsidiary companies;

      (b) employees or agents or suppliers of Ramsdens, GNAAS or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or

      (c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

      4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Ramsdens may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

      4.3 Ramsdens will not accept competition entries that are:

      (a) automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);

      (b) completed by third parties or in bulk;

      (c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;

      (d) photocopies and not originals; or

      (e) incomplete.

      4.4 There is a limit of five tickets per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

      4.5 Ramsdens reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

      4.6 Competition entries cannot be returned.

      5. The prize

      5.1 The prize is a Rolex Milgauss pre-owned Watch ref 116400 (one is available to win).

      5.2 The watch is provided by Ramsdens.

      5.3 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

      6. Winners

      6.1 The decision of Ramsdens is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

      6.2 Ramsdens will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number and email address provided within the competition entry. Ramsdens will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.

      6.3 Ramsdens must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Ramsdens will publish the surname and county of the competition winner on www.ramsdensjewellery.co.uk/competition The winning name will be announced on www.ramsdensjewellery.co.uk/competition and across Ramsdens’ social media channels, namely Facebook and Instagram on 3rd August (Announcement Date)

      6.4 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Ramsdens: [email protected] before the Closing Date. In such circumstances, Ramsdens must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

      7. Claiming the prize

      7.1 If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 7 days from the Announcement Date to contact Ramsdens. Following this you can arrange with Ramsdens a suitable time to collect your prize from Ramsdens’ head office or any of the branches of Ramsdens (excluding our Whitby branch). If you do not acknowledge and claim the prize by contacting Ramsdens within 7 days of the announcement, your claim will become invalid. Photographic ID, will need to be provided to claim the prize (passport or driving licence) and must match the personal details on the entry form.

      7.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

      7.3 Ramsdens will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of the Announcement Date, Ramsdens reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.

      7.4 Ramsdens does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to accept the prize.

      8. Limitation of liability

      Insofar as is permitted by law, Ramsdens, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Ramsdens, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

      9. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights

      9.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to Ramsdens will become the property of Ramsdens on receipt and will not be returned.

      9.2 By submitting your competition entry, you agree to:

      (a) assign absolutely Ramsdens all your intellectual property rights held in the competition entry with full title guarantee; and

      (b) waive absolutely all moral rights,

      in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

      9.3 You agree that Ramsdens may, in their sole discretion, make your entry available on its website www.ramsdensjewellery.co.uk/competition and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You grant Ramsdens a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in the competition entry, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry, for such purposes.

      10. Data protection and publicity

      10.1 Ramsdens will only process your personal information as set out in the www.ramsdensforcash.co.uk/privacy-cookie-policy. See also condition 6.3 and condition 6.4, with regard to the announcement of winners.

      10.2 If you object to us retaining your personal data for 60 days following the Closing Date, please contact Ramsdens: [email protected] before the Closing Date.

      10.3 For online entries, you agree to receive marketing communications from both Ramsdens and from GNAAS. You understand that your data will be used in accordance with the privacy policy referred to at condition 10.1 above. If you do not wish to receive marketing communication, please contact Ramsdens: [email protected] before the Closing Date.

      10.4 For entries in branch – you will be asked if you consent to receiving marketing communications from both Ramsdens and GNAAS. If you opt in, you understand that your data will be used in accordance with the privacy policy referred to at condition 10.1 above.

      11. General

      11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Ramsdens may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

      11.2 Ramsdens reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

      11.3 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
